Absolutely perfect late-autumn walking weather today! Beautiful wintry sunshine and a really crisp chill to the air. Having been cooped up indoors for several days in a row, I was more than ready for a brisk, bracing, leaf-kicking walk along the canal. Feeling immeasurably improved for the experience, too…
Alas, I only had my antiquated iPhone 3G with me for photos, but it was too lovely a walk not to at least try!
- Without accompanying sound, you’d never know this is right by a main road!
- That awkward moment when it becomes clear one group never got the “fly south” memo…
- Still trying to work out what this bird was… not that a distant fuzzy iPhone shot is going to help much! Like a small, black heron?
- Highland cows! Glorious walk aside, I’m absolutely stupid about Highland cows, so this totally made my day!
- Particularly fell in love with this noble chap, who was happily wuffling up leaves along the riverbank.
- Seeing as it was turning into a photo opportunity sort of a walk, I figured the ducks deserved recording for posterity too.
